BKK hooks has once again won another GOOD DESIGN AWARD JAPAN at the ceremony held recently in Tokyo Japan. The only winning bait hook, the BKK RAPTOR-X is a three-strand treble hook whose design is inspired by one of the best treble hooks BKK has ever released: the RAPTOR-Z. The RAPTOR series designed with one goal in mind: to hook strong, aggressive “monster” fish and stay hooked until the end!
With a lighter cable and also available in very small sizes from 8 to 3/0, the RAPTOR-X is also suitable for rigging smaller lures without affecting their swimming action. The lightness of the hook structure is increased by BKK Hand-Ground processing technology, whereby the hook is manually sharpened by removing material around the tip. The proportions of the hook gap and shank are maintained to equip the RAPTOR-X with excellent holding power, but the hook point is slightly straightened to improve connection speed.
The RAPTOR-X’s Bright-Tin coating is intended to maximize its performance in terms of saltwater corrosion resistance, making it suitable even for harsh saltwater environments.
To date, BKK hooks has won a total of five GOOD DESIGN AWARD JAPAN, including LONE DIABLO (2017), GT-REX (2019), RAPTOR-Z (2020), TITAN SERIES: TITANDIVER, TITANDIVER+ and TITANRIDER (2020) and new to the hall of fame, RAPTOR-X (2022).
