Question False Albacore, tactics and spots

Im looking to do some albie fishing in the Rockaway inlet area, i hear some reports starting to trickle in and it seems they are around Sandy Hook and Breezy point on our side. I've got the flourocarbon leader and the deadly dicks ready to go, any other suggestions would be great ....thanks

Albies and bonito are thick as theives now at Breezy Point and everywher fomr Montauk now to NJ. Try using a 1-1/2 ounce floating popper (from boat) and remove the back hook.

Then to that eyelet, tie a 3 foot section of 12 pound test to a smaller saltwater fly. This way you can cast the smal fly...the popper attracts the fish and they will feed on the small fly and sometimes take the popper.
