Women and Family Outdoor Skills Programs

Women and Family Outdoor Skills Programs at the Hackettstown Hatchery

The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is offering "Fishing, Birding and Outdoor Survival Skills" workshops free of charge for women on September 23 and families on September 24 as part of its NJ Outdoors Program. These Outdoor Women of New Jersey (OWNJ) and Outdoor Families of New Jersey (OFNJ) workshops at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery, located in Warren County, allow participants a fun and educational way to learn outdoor skills like freshwater fishing and bird watching for beginners. A guided tour of the hatchery fish production building will also be offered!

For more information, including to register for the workshops by August 11, visit on the Division's website.
