Reel and rod for my niece

I took my niece and nephew fluke fishing last year. My nephew has his own rod and reel. My niece did not like the bait caster setup I had, but loved my Mitchell 300 Pro. So we swapped for the day.

When we go fishing this year, I like to surprise her with her own rod and reel similar to the Mitchell 300 Pro she liked, but not break the bank. Any suggestions?

BTW: She does not fish a lot. Usually only with me.

Take her to one of the local bait and tackle shops and let her pick out a rod and reel combo that she likes. There are tons of inexpensive combos to choose from, most shops have a large selection of spinning reel combos to offer. Being in the bait and tackle business for 11 years ,I have to say that Shakespere makes some great combos that wont break the bank, You can pick up a good rod and reel combo for under 30$. Great to see that your getting your neice into fishing. Good luck
