Long Beach surf

I know that most of your surf fishing is done at the west end and Atlantic Beach area; I wanted to know am I wasting my time at Long Beach?

My time is usually limited, so a straight run over the LB bridge to the Riverside/Monroe jetties is usually all I have time for. Unfortunately, I rarely get anything worthwhile in the way of stripers/blues in that area (I do get plenty of kingfish there though). Should I just drive a little farther west and hit Atlantic Beach area? And if so, where are the public access points in the area (I don't want to go where I'm not supposed to).

Thanks.

Long Beach is fantastic fishing from Jones to Deb's..not all fish are caught in EAB or AB...most are caught in Long Beach..

the barrier Island is 7 miles long with AB only about 1-1/2 miles..so the math dictates you fish the other 5-1/2 miles of Long Beach..more than enough sand and more than enough fish
