Capt. Al Opens Sea Bass On High Note
 
The long awaited NY sea bass season opened on Tuesday (7/15) with awesome catches especially on the Capt. Al (516-623-2248) from Point Lookout Long Island. Capt. Tommy Weiss says the sea bass opener on Tuesday (7/15) saw very good fishing with many quality size fish with sea bass to almost 5 pounds taking the pool. They had a nice full boat and most had their limits of sea bass and some very nice ling and porgies came over the rails too. Today they did even better action wise and everybody on the boat had their limit of sea bass with fish to almost 4 pounds, but many, many quality fish and lots more action too. On Tuesday everything was a quality keeper and on Wednesday they had more of a mixture of sea bass with some shorts too. The see a few short fluke mixed in every day with a keeper or two and still terrific ling action. Remember Wed-Sun they sail at 5 p.m. for sea bass and porgies
